LVT 2016 r 2016 wh 2016 rosé Jean-Luc Monteillet's father was a Co-operateur at the Cave de Richerenches, in good black truffle country. He is the third generation in wine, and started his cellar in 1987. This is absolutely a top name at Grignan, with those wines often right up to the standard of Côtes du Rhônes. There is a good level of quality across the board, and the Vinsobres is worth noting as well.
The 2015 Grignan Secret de Terroir red was an STGT ***(*) wine, and the 2016 a **** VALUE wine, while the 2016 Grignan Gourmandises red was a ***(*) w.o.w. wine. The white Grignan can be excellent. The Grignan Viognier, planted in 1988, is now nicely mature, and this shows in the wine: the 2015 was a genuine ***(*) wine, the 2016 also ***(*). The 2015 Côtes du Rhône Caprices red was **** wine, while the 2015 Grignan Gourmandises rosé was a splendid, very appealing **** wine, and great VALUE.
