65% Grenache, 35% Syrah from 50% Bourjassot (sand, yellow safre) and 50% Gravillas (brown clay, a few stones), whole bunch fermentation of varieties apart, 12-16 day vinification, daily pumping overs, fibre glass vat raised 10-12 months, unfined, filtered, 3-6,000 b


plum red; steady, traditional Grenache aroma led by red fruit of some depth, with bay leaf and rather sharp tar airs. The palate fails to really get going – is timid. The fruit isn’t especially clear, has a baked side, and recedes before the finish. Rustic. 13.5°. €8 ex cellars. 2016-17  Oct 2013

2007 ()

red-mauve robe; smoky, red fruits aroma that travels across the bouquet, also a little pine. Good fruit on the palate – raspberry with a supple mid-palate tone. Local feel here – has the Sablet red fruit with a good little late tannin support. There are actually pines surrounding the vineyards – reference the nose. 2012-13 March 2009
