2018 ()

fine yellow robe; the bouquet gives exotic fruits, mango, papaya in the forefront, a backdrop of pear in syrup. It’s a vigorous opening. The palate is soft and rolling, well upholstered, on ample white fruits, peach prominent, a grapey essence towards the close. It needs serving well chilled, will please via its open book fat. It sustains pretty well on the close, lychees there. It’s well up for la table, including white meats, pork, spaghetti alla vongole. 13°. To late 2020 Mar 2019


yellow robe; licorice and aniseed twin on the bouquet, a light air of dried apricot behind. The palate is tasty, runs with a compote of cooked fruits, a tang of nuttiness showing near the finish. This spreads pretty widely, to go with steamed dishes, hors d’oeuvres. 13°. 2018-19 Feb 2016  


mild yellow robe; fresh, lemon grass in a lifted bouquet, has tangerine and ginger snap. The palate, likewise, presents a fresh, clean take on white Côtes du Rhône – this is drinkable, comes in the aperitif style. The fruit runs cleanly, zestily, has a little floral tune, delivers aniseed on the finish. The central taste reflects cooked pear, typical Viognier. There is an appealing little gras on the aftertaste. Much better than in May, bottle time has helped. 13°. €4.39 ex cellars. 2016-17  Oct 2013 Previously May 2013 * bright, pale yellow. Has a pungent air, shows varnish, acetate, the style techno, not natural. The fruit lacks a foothold here, has a “Plastic Bertrand” style – technology over vineyard. Banana style, candy exit. 2011 ()

pale yellow; fresh, even vivacious nose, a bright mix of spring flowers, honeysuckle, light air of melted butter; the lead fruit is pear, peach behind that, a wee note of vanilla: this has good class. The palate bears good fruit, is well balanced; the alert attack is more on the go than the finish, in the manner of the 2011 vintage. Has a clear, fragrant aftertaste, shows citrus and verveine (verbena) tea, also honey. Stylish wine. Can do the aperitif. 13°. To 2016  Oct 2012
