2019 ()

clear yellow robe; the bouquet is full of box plants, Sauvignon airs, with a musky-floral back drop from the Viognier, which, for once, is rather upstaged. The palate springs out well, has a rolling richness with fine acidity, drinks well already. The finish is clear, salted, has the South in its underlay of mild texture. It’s lively, won’t go unnoticed, just like the patron, in fact. 12.5°. 2022 Feb 2020

2011

pale robe; has a Sauvignon-forward aroma, with gooseberry, backed by a fatter, flan-style air, pear from the Viognier drifts across the glass. Stylish freshness on the palate, which has flair and drive, extends well, has a light freshness and just enough backing on the palate. Drinkable, facile, and “up” wine. 13°. £9.27 in GB, only fair.
