2015 ()

bottled one month ago, a month earlier than usual due to lack of stock: shiny, bright dark red robe. The bouquet offers soaked black cherries with grilling, brioche baked bread, nuttiness: it isn’t quite a whole unit yet. The palate starts on black berry fruit which is ample, has some clear tones, ripe blueberry fruit towards the finish. This is expressive, well juiced wine in the making. There is tannic thrust on the end, licorice, some darkness, prune fruit, and it keeps going there. 14.5°. From spring 2017. 2023-25 July 2016


dark red; has a bouncy, live bouquet led by blackberry fruit, a low level air of menthol and prune also. A good start. The palate asserts its dark fruit well, in bonny waves that render it tasty and immediate. Good quality fruit, a wine that rides the surf well. Good with turkey, white meats thanks to its juice. 14.5°. 2018-19  Jun 2015 


decent red robe. Has a blackberry air of some grace, floral scent such as iris. The fruit is ripe. This is an enclosed, tight-knit wine: it bears smoky black fruit, has a rather firm, demanding side. There isn’t great connection between nose and palate – the palate is crunched in on itself at the end, where there is a crushed stones effect, the fruit suppressed. Some late heat shows through. From 2014, needs time as its saviour. 14.5°. €4.50 export. 2018-19. Oct 2012


quite dark; the bouquet exudes a sweet, homesy air – sweet toffee pudding, golden syrup, the fruit in the shape of blackberry, with floral violet-iris lacing. The palate is full of primary, early fruit which delivers today`s post well – monsieur le facteur, il arrive. A wine for the here and now, has a sweet essence in the fruit, largely Grenache. Is a good, steady wine that can tick over quietly, comes with a smattering of late tannin. 14°. 2014-15 Feb 2009


dark plum, cherry colour; an air of black fruit lies within a deep, chocolate-infused setting, long soaked black fruits the lead effect. The palate is sweetly toned, its flavour a little plush until it clarifies late on. A final tannic bite wakes it up, gives it late push. The style is for long hang time of the fruit, with a nutted end, which shows a typical tightening of a 2003 Côtes du Rhône. A rather rich, tarry wine very much in the Tardieu-Laurent style. 14°. 2011-12  Hotel Continental, Oslo, Sept 2007
