NOT PRODUCED ON ITS OWN: WINE IN LA SEREINE NOIRE

2015

shiny, full red, a handsome robe. There is a ping of lead pencil above a sturdy aroma that shows soaked red cherries, griottes. It gives little away. The palate comes forward, has Burgundian definition, real iron and blood and red fruits in a winning tiercé. There is a lot of closely bound juice to nourish – thick and constant it is. The tannins are firm, clearly struck, still entering the wine, as is the oak. The shape is really like a six-pack – really toned and handsome. Bottled Sept 2017. From 2022. 2036-38 Nov 2017
