Viognier from Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, Limony, fermented, raised 20% new, 80% 1-year 225-litre oak casks 10 months, malo completed

pale robe; this has a pinpoint nose, is very defined, shows pear, apricot. The palate sets off on vanilla (oak influence) apricot, white peach, is a fresh nerve style of Condrieu, New Wave. I note the degree – only 12.5°, so very early cropping. It comes in an aperitif style, or to drink with starter dishes. It’s fresh as a daisy, but I’d like more depth. 12.5°. To 2022 Dec 2018
