80% Clairette rose, 20% Grenache blanc from galet stone covered sandy soils, cool decantation, 50% steel vat, 50% 1-year 600-litre oak cask fermented, raised 3 months, malo blocked, organic wine, 2,900 b


the robe shows the Clairette rose pear skin tinting in the yellow colour. The bouquet is a grapey affair, with notes of melon, nectarine, a hint of exotic fruit such as pineapple. The palate is sensuous, a most becoming oily texture guiding it along a sure, extended path. This extols the classic virtues of southern whites, with glycerol at its heart, and no attempt to neutralise that heritage. There is lovely, discreet finesse in its freshness. The aftertaste has a note of sweet unctuosity. Big marks for character and for the thought of drinking it with refined cuisine, butter-based or Escoffier also. Veal, halibut, pieds et paquets, noodles – there’s a long list of potential companions here. 13.5°. 2021-22 Oct 2017

yellow robe; The nose mixes greengage plum and nuts, aniseed, has a genuine depth. The palate gives an elegant display of white stone fruits with some soft floral tones. The texture is cosy, supple, and the finish has a little spearmint tang. A wine of good detail. 14°. 2,900 b. To 2018  Oct 2015
