quite a dark red robe, purple top. The bouquet is buzzy, offers immediate spicing with sweet-toned blackberry fruit, a comely and easy appeal about it; there’s a touch of typical Syrah road tar. The palate is good and fluid, rolls along with well juiced black fruits, with attendant spicing, a nice little tang towards the close - so its shape holds up, a thread of carbonic gas allowing freshness. This is all about primary fruit, and offers, good, w.o.w. drinking, ideally suited to barbecues and grills, has the plump content for a variety of starter and main dishes. It carries the good, instant fruit of many 2018s from the lesser zones, and is a neat numéro for drinking now. 13.5°. 2,300 b. 2022 June 2020
