spritz of carbonic gas visible in a yellow robe; the bouquet is influenced by ripe Viognier and its musky, pear tones, with apricot juice and a white plum presence, too. It’s a discreetly weighty start. The attack is full, the texture suave and rolling, with peach-nectarine flavours, and a note off late grip, firmness. There is a thread of carbonic gas along the palate, which gives the distraction of the cellar, and it lacks structure. With its high degree and carbo gas, it’s not really a fluent, natural whole, but will drink soundly with mushroom risotto, and fully flavoured dishes. 14°.5. 2023-24 Sept 2020
