red-tinted robe; the bouquet gives a steady aroma led by bright crabapple, cherry fruit, a little dustiness and dried herbs. The palate is a coiled ball of small red fruits, redcurrants with a grippy, tight finish. This is direct, fresh, almost steely. The aftertaste is clear and tangy.
