LVT 2015 r 2014 wh 2014 rosé An old and large estate that was owned after the War by Gabriel Meffre and his family. It was bought in 2010 by Vincent Moreau, also owner of Domaine de Galuval at Cairanne. The wines are ripe, over-ripe in tendency at times
LVT 2016 r 2015 wh Brothers-in-law Julien Biscarrat and Sébastien Pathier (married to Julien's sister Marie Biscarrat, the family owning the domaine) went their separate ways in 2011. Julien left to work at Domaine de Cristia at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, taking with him vineyards from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Plan de Dieu and Vin de Pays. Sébastien continues with 1.8 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and reduced Plan de Dieu and Côtes du Rhône. The wines such as the Plan de Dieu are solid operators, with the 2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape a very good, STGT wine. There is now a Cairanne red based on 1960s-1970s Grenache, with the 2015 a ***(*) wine, pre-bottling, and the 2016 a genuine **** wine.
LVT 2011 r Owned by the Château de Vaudieu family, a small property at Séguret. Lush, juicy wines that slip down well. Very good 2011.
LVT 2011 r 2011 wh rosé Gained some fame due to the involvement of legendary French film actor, Jean-Louis Trintignant (A Man and A Woman . . the rain dripping down the car windscreen . . the music . . the box of hankerchiefs . .) The wines are improved here, with more comfortable fruit, since the extraction was cut back in the 2004 vintage onwards. The vinification was reduced from 21-28 days to 12-16 days, and is now also performed at a lower temperature.
LVT 2012 r Makers of Grignan-les-Adhemar along with two red Villages wines, one of them based on Syrah. Hearty style. Also offer bed and breakfast and holiday gîtes.
LVT 2015 r 2015 wh 2010 rosé An organic domaine of a long established vigneron family from the southern Ardeche. Directly fruited wines, as is typical of this area. The vineyards are mature, some dating from pre-Second World War times.
