(vat) purple toned dark red colour. There is overt, buzzy spicing on the nose, which mingles with black berry fruits, comes out directly. The palate is also full of spice, compressed juice, a firm black berry layer. The finish is dark, nearly tarry, goes “crunch” with its dark tannins. It has some rugged character, and delivers a punchy drink for grills. It can be drunk now, with open juice. 14°. To 2020 Aug 2017


dark plum robe, a little evolution via its hue. The nose gives a comfortable depth of blackberry fruit, with a quiet and agreeable ease about it, stewed plums and blackberries together, a hint of dried herbs. The palate holds easy, squeezy gras, mild tannins, ends roundly. This drinks well now, with sound freshness on the second half. The fruit tapers a touch after its open kick-off. 14°. To end 2018.
